Sequence

3Down at Highland on Tuesday, Dave S and I got it going, went all TransWorld on it. They’re building some new elements down there that are gigantic, once they’re done it’s going to be good shooting. As well, most of the tree cover down there is hardwood so once the foliage gets into gear it’ll be even better. New site is on the verge of being done, look for it.

No Good

GloomyLittle post-processing with this Smutok shot from Z-Sizzle, my long-distance retoucher from PC. Spooky, eh? Had a great shoot up in Burke, VT last weekend punctuated by a couple wrecks. One, mine, was just stupid and left me hobbled by the gnarliest charlie horse I’ve ever had. The second, Karin’s, was really scary. She was a riding model and was tooling along when she mysteriously crashed and was knocked out cold. It was nuts, she was riding in a mowed field, about as smooth and even a surface you’d ever MTB on. We think her gears skipped or something, but, man, it was so fast and she was so jacked up. When she came to she was totally disoriented and had no idea where she was or what had happened. Luckily she got a clean bill of health at the hospital and was fine, just had a headache the rest of the weekend. BTW, a new chrismilliman.com is in the works and is going to be great. Seems I can’t really ride bikes at all fast anymore. Weird.

Back at It

ChampAfter a killer break over to Italia it’s back at it. Seven hrs of driving down to RI to shoot some editorial stuff, guess I didn’t get rusty in 3 weeks of no shooting. Getting things sorted out for the fall, which is starting to look busier than I’d thought. The lingering thoughts of how awesome Italy was will keep me going for a long time: the espressos, the sun, the prosciutto, the cheese. Even went for some sweet runs over there, coastline ridge on Elba.
