Took Long Enough

FinallyYeah, it’s snowing and there promises to be plenty more of it before it’s all over. Tried to go out and shoot this AM with Libby but it was really freakin cold (single digits) and snowing so hard. Within 10 minutes I had no feeling in my digits, I literally could not tell whether or not I was depressing the shutter button. That’s not good. Looking like when all is said and done we’ll top the 24″ mark. How about that?

Roots CX

How Old?While it looks like a pre-WWII ‘cross shot, just some good Kodak TXP320 pushed a stop, shot with the 67. Pretty much have waded through all the shots from BEL and the ones that need to go into the mail will do so tomorrow. Still too cold to ride outside but not enough snow to ski on, is that the worst of all possible worlds? Dartmouth can’t even have their home ski races here, they have to go up to Stowe. Pretty grim.

Last One

HoogerheideOK, the fisheye is getting a bit played, but had to post this one from the Hoogerheide World Cup. Shot it of the juniors race and it wouldn’t have worked well any later because a line of spectators against the fencing wreck the effect. I can’t even say how much I wish I’d had my 8′ step ladder over there, such a useful tool at the races. This’ll be the final CX pic until next fall I think. How about that?

The Essence

Old WrenchJust got my first roll of film from the Belgium trip back. Kodachrome EPP 100 cross processed, pushed 2.5 stops, no filter, shot with the trusty Lomo. Settings, who cares. I actually shot 17 rolls over there, most 120 with the Pentax 67. I cannot wait to get them back but it takes a few days as they have to be sent out. The Belgians are almost universally weathered looking, this little guy was just a fine example. Taken at Zonnebke, so cool. Rode the winter bike with the PowerCranks today and oh boy did it suck. I almost tripped over something when I got home because I couldn’t lift my legs more than about an inch off the ground. Hip flexors, toast. Guess I’ll keep riding them until I can’t stand it another day.
